About Lumengray
Helping People Find Their Footing on the Path to Retirement
We started with a simple observation: most people approaching retirement feel underprepared — not because the information doesn't exist, but because it's rarely presented in an accessible way.

Founded on Clarity, Built for Confidence
Lumengray was established in Bangkok in response to a gap that those working with older adults kept observing: many people arriving at the threshold of retirement had almost no practical understanding of how the Thai social security system worked, what their workplace pension contributions meant, or even where to look for reliable official information.
The name Lumengray reflects two ideas held together — the quiet light that helps a person see their surroundings more clearly, and the silver-grey of experience that comes with patience and time. We wanted those ideas to anchor everything we do: calm, patient, and oriented towards helping people understand rather than pushing them towards decisions.
From the beginning, we made a deliberate choice not to offer advice, recommendations, or any form of regulated financial service. What we do instead is make information — already publicly available through government channels and employer documentation — easier to navigate, so that the people who attend our sessions leave feeling more oriented than when they arrived.

How We Work
Standards We Hold Ourselves To
These are not aspirational statements — they are the practical commitments that shape how every session is designed and delivered.
No Advice, No Sales
Sessions are strictly educational. We do not refer participants to financial service providers, and we receive no commercial benefit from any third party.
Sourced from Public Information
All content references official Thai government publications and publicly accessible employer documents. We cite sources clearly and update materials when official guidance changes.
Participant Privacy
We collect only the information needed to organise sessions. No personal financial details are requested, and participant data is handled in accordance with Thailand's Personal Data Protection Act.
Facilitator Preparation
Each facilitator reviews session content before delivery and keeps reference materials current. We conduct internal peer reviews of workshop content on a quarterly basis.
Accessible Environments
Our Bangkok venue is chosen for ease of access. Group sizes are kept small to make participation comfortable for people of all levels of familiarity with the subject matter.
Content Kept Current
Thailand's retirement and social security landscape does evolve. We review workshop materials whenever relevant government guidance is updated and communicate changes to registered participants.
Why Plain-Language Retirement Education Matters in Thailand
Thailand's retirement landscape involves several overlapping components — the Social Security Fund, the Provident Fund system, the National Savings Fund, and voluntary workplace pension arrangements. Each has its own rules, timelines, and documentation requirements. For many working adults and those approaching the end of their careers, understanding how these elements relate to one another is genuinely challenging, even for those who are well-educated and attentive.
Lumengray addresses this challenge not by simplifying away the complexity, but by presenting information in a sequence that makes it easier to absorb. Sessions begin with the broader structure before moving into specific documents and processes, giving participants a mental map before filling in the details. The result is that people leave with a clearer sense of the landscape — and a better understanding of what questions to bring to HR departments, social security offices, or whichever professionals they choose to consult next.
For employers, communicating retirement-benefit information to a diverse workforce is a perennial challenge. The Group Information Programme for Employers gives HR teams both the foundational knowledge and the communication tools to carry these conversations internally, with consistency and without overstepping into individual advice-giving.
